At the young age of 12, I wondered what profession I could master to 'help as many people as I could at the same time'. From the ancient city of Baghdad, carrying this childish, yet very ambitious goal in mind, I dreamt about becoming a physician and with that thought living and breathing within me, I worked hard to successfully achieve that goal. And I did. I specialized in Community Medicine where I found it exciting not to just work with patients one on one, but to also reach out to the whole community, networking and creating awareness towards easily preventable health problems through simple step-by-step lifestyle changes. Chronic diseases and specifically cancer, were my main focus. The well-known impact and benefit of preventive factors that could be implemented in a person's lifestyle, documented by research, was irrefutable.

Moving to Canada, and after personally experiencing cancer myself, I felt that prevention was not enough. Something was missing. There was much more to health than a physician's prescription or a surgeon's knife. I felt a strong desire to understand the human body in a more wholesome sense. We are part of nature and everything is connected. I wanted to learn how and why disease occurs which led me to the thrilling discovery of Holistic Health and Nutrition. I studied at the Institute of Holistic Health and have never looked back. I successfully work with clients from all walks of life, with chronic autoimmune conditions, digestive problems, and women's hormonal disturbances. As a physician, I learned how to 'cure' an ailment but as a holistic practitioner, I learned how to 'heal' the body, to identify the root cause of disease in the body, and harmoniously address it utilizing natural methods that when used correctly, never harm the body. An immensely fulfilling concept.
